Most of the series looks up from underneath. This one doesn't. Shot level with the canopy's outer edge, the Metropol Parasol presents a different face entirely: the pointed tips of the diamond modules rising into the deep blue in a clean sawtooth line, the voids between them opening to the Seville air, the horizontal ribs carrying their sensors and fixings in full view across the lower portion of the frame. The edge is the building's most public gesture — the line where the structure commits to its silhouette, where the organic form meets the sky it was always in conversation with. From here, the canopy reads less as shelter and more as crown: a repeated, insistent upward point, white against blue, the city's most distinctive roofline.
