Six parasol caps, not one. The Metropol Parasol achieves its scale through multiplication — individual units, each enormous, spanning the plaza in a loose constellation that leaves deliberate gaps between them. This frame finds one of those gaps: an oval of deep Andalusian blue opened between two canopy sections, the scalloped edges of each curving inward toward the center before pulling away. The sky here is not background — it is a shape, as considered and bounded as any panel in the lattice surrounding it. An oculus, effectively: a deliberate void in a structure built for shelter, framing the thing it was designed to filter.
