Le Corbusier developed the Modulor as a proportional system rooted in the human body — a 1.83-meter man with his arm raised, providing the key measurements from which everything else followed. At Corbusierhaus Berlin, those proportions govern everything: the ceiling heights, the balcony depths, the width of each panel. Shot close, you wouldn't know it — the image reads as pure color. But the reason it feels right, the reason the scale sits so comfortably in the frame, is that it was built to the measure of a person standing in front of it.
