Corbusierhaus Berlin was not a neutral commission. Built for the Interbau 1957 exhibition, it was West Berlin's architectural argument — a demonstration that democratic modernism could be as bold and humane as anything being built on the other side of the city. Le Corbusier brought his full vocabulary: the pilotis, the rooftop terrace, the Modulor proportions, and above all the color. Shot close, the politics fall away. What remains is the gesture itself — vivid, assured, and still uncompromising decades later.
