The Unité d'Habitation was built on a single organizing idea: that repetition, done with enough care, becomes rhythm. At Corbusierhaus Berlin, that rhythm plays out across the facade in panels of color — each balcony a beat, each floor a measure, the whole building a composition that grows more insistent the longer you look. Shot close, the individual unit dissolves. What remains is the pattern itself, asserting that even mass housing can have a pulse.
